so i’ve been making…personas of all the sigur ros albums (well, the main albums at least) by taking whatevers on the cover and essentially giving it life

out of boredom

but i kind of like them

Von takes the form of a floating naked baby that is controlled by a cuhrayzee psychedelic spirit ghost thing. It speaks in Z̰̞̰̃̒ͪͥ̍̑ͪ̒͌͘A̴̴̟͖̻̜̻̠̱͔̋ͩͨ̀̐L̅̄̉͏̨͚̖̦̟̼̺̘̯G̴͙̍͘Ö̦͉̟̖͈͖̲ͬ̇̎ͬͅ and it can control space and time and life and death and all sorts of that crazy stuff. It also does normal baby things like cooing and barfing.

Ágætis Byrjun is, as you might have guessed, the angel alien baby on the cover. It’s quiet and soft spoken, but when it plays the piccolo it becomes extremely expressive and emotional. It’s kind of nervous and self conscious of itself and doesn’t take praise or compliments very easily. It’s umbilical cord is held on its back by a bunch of wrapping, and the end of it has a Gramaphone speaker that can summon angels and elves when played.

( ), or Vaka, is a sleepwalking boy. He cannot speak any discernible language except Hopelandic. He rarely smiles or shows great emotion, and cries very easily. Sometimes he produces sounds that resemble E-bows.

Takk…takes the form of a boy named Andvari. He is the most talkative and expressive of the group, and can easily control himself around groups. He loves to sing simple melodies, is very curious, and loves to explore. He can produce long, ghostly vines and branches out of his limbs and back, and they sometimes support his body or suspend him in the air. He often gets nosebleeds when he becomes too excited.

Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust is represented through one of the naked runners from the cover named Vitleysingur. He is unable to wear clothes, but thankfully is protected by an unavoidable censor bar that guards his neither regions. He is a little clumsy, and quite confused of who he is; he can be found dancing to heavy drums and hand clapping one moment, and then howling a melancholic tale about lost love the next. When traveling with the other boys, he is unfortunately overlooked for the most part, or treated condescendingly.

and finally, Valtari is a young, androgenous boy that no one in the group knows much about. They’ve only just found him. He is blind and enjoys playing with toys, and doesn’t talk very much. He dislikes Vitleysingur, and gets along well with Andvari.

A themed playlist for another night of painting my frustrations out.
It started with Jónsi’s Tornado - then went to weather-related songs, finally encompassing songs about spinning or flying.
